Moor Park Golf Club

Client testimonial

Moor Park Golf ClubIn January 2006 two new bar counters and backfittings were installed at the prestigious Moor Park Golf Club.  When the Chief Executive contacted us he explained that the club desired a traditional style, but they had one concern, the design.

It was imperative that the bars were sympathetic to both the impressive exterior and lavish interior of the mansion house, which dates back to the seventeenth century.  The objective was to reflect the affluence of the mansion and compliment the buildings period features.New Bar to Moor Park Golf Club

Our designer created a simple counter base adorned with solid oak mouldings, which replicated the rooms original plaster panel mouldings.  A solid oak counter top was introduced to reflect the historic buildings prosperity.  The simple backfitting, which maximises both space and storage, was dictated by the size of the vast windows.

Both bars were installed over two weeks but our team of experienced carpenters encountered a few considerations along the way.   New Bar to Moor Park Golf Club

The Main Hall of the mansion is abundant in highly decorative seventeenth century plaster mouldings.  So not to damage these features and to respect the grade one listed building our carpenters had to cautiously scribe in the counters and backfittings.  This is a very laborious task that has to be carried out accurately. With only one chance to get it right it is imperative that the work is precise.  The counters fitted to perfection.Rear of New Bar Counter

The golf club remained operational to both members and the public while we installed the counters.  Working in the building we had to ensure that the area was safe and presentable to the clubs members, both during and after working hours.

In May 2008 we once again worked at Moor Park Golf Club, when we designed, manufactured and installed a new reception counter within the main hall of the mansion.
